Resurrection Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Lutheranism is a movement within the universal Christian Church that is rooted in God in Jesus Christ who died on the cross to forgive our sins and reconcile the world to himself. We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who creates us, redeems us, and sends us for the sake of the world.
We hold Scripture as the norm of our doctrine and teaching and recognize the ecumenical creeds (Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian) and the Augsburg Confession and other Lutheran confessions as faithful witnesses to the teachings of Scripture.
Every week, we gather together as a community to hear the Word proclaimed to us through readings and preaching, confess our sins and receive forgiveness as baptized children of God, and take in the body and blood of Christ in bread and wine at the altar. We are then sent out into the world to live out our faith in devotion to God and love to our neighbors.
If you are interested to find out more of what we as Lutherans believe, please feel free to contact us via e-mail or phone. But the best way to find out is simply by joining us for worship to experience God's forgiveness and love in our lives.
