They’ve since moved to Broadway from Presbyterian Avenue.Iconic of Madison, this aquatic accoutrement sits outside of Trinity Methodist Church and is the backdrop to the Music in the Park concert series.Really? Who chose that color? A favorite spot for prom pics and weddings, this historical mansion overlooks the river from second street and takes up two whole blocks!Even dogs like the riverwalk, they have their own playground down on Vaughn Drive…Madison has a visitors’ center? It has a train’s caboose parked out front… so there’s that...Do your leaders seem tired? There’s a Presbyterian-owned coffee shop on the corner of Mill Street and Main Street.Does this elementary school really ruin the whole “downtown” vibe?I bet you didn’t even know there was a park back on 3rd Street between Mill St. and Vine.The old Presbyterian Church still stands in Madison, though it’s not used by a worshiping community anymore. Our friends at the Episcopal Church have nice grounds, though you’d never find them unless you knew where they were. Go check ‘em out!It took a long time to re-open after this building on Jefferson and Main caught fire a few years ago…Madison has a huge Catholic community. There’s only one church downtown now, but there used to be two. The active church is back on 2nd Street.No downtown scavenger hunt would be complete without a picture of the bridge…This area’s a hotbed of activity during the Summer.
